If the idea of making money online tickles your fancy there a few things you should know and do to get started:

You will be doing a lot of writing. Lots of reading and writing. Posting and typing and writing and submitting and writing and reading and tracking and writing. And to do all that, you will need a good word processor and Office Suite. The best recommended FREE one is OpenOffice. Just remember that you’ll want to save your work as a .doc file if you’re going to be working on it at different computers.

Next you will need to take payments. PayPal is the worlds largest, free online payment center available and 90% of everything you do online can be done through them. But due to some of PayPals rules, they do not do business will some types of sites. Eventually you will want to get an AlertPay account.

Then you will want to hangout with other people that all ready make a full time income from working online. The Warrior Forum and Digital Point are about the most respected sites you will find when it comes to Internet Marketing in general. There you can ask your questions, learn from others and get advanced tips from masters from all over the net.

Your going to need a place to place your ads too. Though I am not one, some people have learned how to make thousands a month just by placing ads on USFreeAds and CraigsList.

Lastly (for now) you will need a place to put all your writing and articles.  There are thousands of directories that you can submit your work to but some will get you more traffic then others.  There Page Rank, or popularity in general, will determine how many people see your work.  The one that people live and swear by is EzineArticles.  I’ve got a list of the top 10 that I use here,  but definitely setup an account at Ezine and get to know them.

Remember now, these are the basics…  Depending on what and how you decide to use the internet to make your money will determine what material you will need next.  This side provides several avenues and ideas on how to do that, the next is up to you.  Just a warning though.  Don’t try to learn it all.  Picking one and being the best at it will guarantee your success.
